Greetings from the Augrabies Falls in the Northern Cape.
Tomorrow is the start of the 2018 Kalahari Augrabies Extreme Marathon (KAEM).
The 19th edition of the race – 250km over 6 stages / 7 days – will be held from 20-26 October 2018.

# Messages of support
You can e-mail me a message of support during the race – runners@kaem.co.za. Just state my name in the subject line.
# Fundraising
I’m using the race the raise R250 000 for the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital (NMCH) – it requires just 2 500 people to donate a minimum of R100 each to reach this target.
Refer to https://www.backabuddy.co.za/desert-run-4-nmch to view my fundraising page, and encourage your friends and colleagues to support the NMCH.
# My daily updates
Where possible, I will write a short daily update about my progress and experience which will be posted on my Facebook page – https://web.facebook.com/david.barnard.311.
I hope you enjoy the updates, and any messages of support will be much appreciated.
